Teide National Park
Less than an hour from our Flamingo Club resort in Tenerife you will find a world so different from almost anything you will have seen before – the Teide National Park (Parque Nacional del Teide).
Many film directors have used this spectacular landscape as a backdrop to their movies and you will understand why when you visit the area yourself.
The volcano itself is the highest point in Spain and stands at 3,718 metres. For unbeatable views without the strain of hiking up there you can take the Teleférico cablecar to take you the last 1,000 metres. Not quite to the peak of Teide. If you wish to go to the very top then you will have to obtain an official permit, get in touch with us if you need help to do this.
This photo was taken on Sunday afternoon as the sun was going down and the light was just fantastic – no ‘Photoshop’ was required here!
