This week I met with one of our members, Jocelyn Salmons who has been a member here at Flamingo Club with her husband, Brian and son Christopher since 2006.

Living in Birtley, County Durham in the UK, Jocelyn and her family like to come to Tenerife at least once a year and have seen a lot of changes since they first arrived 35 years ago – there was only 2 hotels and 1 ‘discotheque’ in those days!

Although they often hire a car to explore the island, going to places like Los Gigantes, Santa Cruz and of course Teide and the Loro Parque they just love the Costa Adeje area where our Resort is located and spend a lot of time around the pool where Christopher loves to swim.

It was nice to hear Jocelyn say that the changes to the communal areas since Grand Holidays Club took over the resort have made it an even better place to stay, “The staff are all very friendly and the place is immaculately clean all the time.  The gardens too, have improved and give the place a lovely tropical feeling”.

Unfortunately this year, they were unable to stay in their own apartment as it is in the middle of the refurbishment programme however they are looking forward to staying in the ‘new’ apartment in 2012.
